Well, there's been a little pause in Communative communications, I must admit. However, please don't assume that this has been down to a falling out of love with the subject matter, or a muse dimming from view. Quite the opposite, in fact.
God, that last paragraph must read like the worst sort of pompous, Robert Graves-bothering pseudism; but what I mean to write is that whilst I’ve not been posting, I’ve not been resting on my laurels either. Investigations into contemporary culture and communications have, in fact, continued apace. Reading, researching and even interviews have all been undertaken and whilst the page itself has remained untouched, its bank of findings has been swelling.
So, this is a request to say “please bear with me”. The lack of updates of late, is purely a function of the way Communative works. It will never be a receptacle for every little minor observation, nor is it fly paper hung to trap raw info from the net’s swarms. It is a place for fully researched, fully considered, full-length discussions. You know, the "good stuff". Stuff that leaves you feeling…well…full!
On that note, I must drop a hint that I am currently looking into Indie Gaming - really fascinating stuff. And, in the spirit of channel neutrality, I’ve captured some of these thoughts in an article I wrote for Dazed & Confused this month. So for a sneak preview, please check out the mag (available almost everywhere, I think). Otherwise, hold tight and I’ll be with you in 2 ticks…
